Blood Moon Shines!

My good friend, Bill McFadden,(also the GM of the Louisiana Boardwalk) took this really cool picture of the “Blood Moon” last night out at his farm.

Coinsiding with the full moon is the lunar exlipse, where the Sun, Earth and moon allign, creating a total lunar eclipse. So when the moon passes thru Earth’s shadow, it causes it to darken with reddish hues.  That red color comes from sunlight filtering thru Earth’s atmosphere- a ring of light created by all the sunrises and sunsets happeningaround our planet often called “Blood Moon”.

Pretty cool -right?
