The state government websites for Louisiana and many of its email systems and online operations are shut down. All state agencies seem to be affected, causing the disruption of business and services.
All outgoing network traffic for departments that use Louisiana state-owned technology services for their computer network operations has stopped. As of Monday, state authorities are unsure what caused the huge shutdown, and there is no estimated time on when the websites and email operations would be restored. They do know that nearly every state agency in Louisiana has been affected in some way or another. The technology service workers have shut down all of the network servers and are trying right now to locate the problem.
