Yesterday The Dream Hunt Foundation hosted 25 local special needs children from Shreve Island Elementary for a day of fishing ( Pictured is 6 year old Liam with Dream Hunt Volunteer, Robert). The Dream Hunt Foundation works with multiple hospitals and organizations thruout the South to organize once- in- a- lifetime guided hunting or fishing trips for children and teens with disabilites,terminal illness or those considered disadvantaged.
KRMD was invited to witness these wonderful kids laughing and yelling with joy as they caught their 1st fish EVER!! Even a turtle was caught BUT all fish /turtles were safely thrown back into the lake for more fishing! Special Thanks to Bayou Outdoor Powersports , a Huge Dream Hunt Foundation Sponsor, for providing volunteers to help make DREAMS come true!
