Cold case: Shreveport detectives seek public’s help in unsolved ‘Man in the Well’ murder

Louisiana police are seeking the public’s assistance in determining the whereabouts of two suspects, Patricia Tito and Delvin Avard Sibley, during the disappearance and later discovery of the remains of Lester Rome in 1984.

Tito is currently in custody for a homicide she committed in 2003, and she identified Sibley as the individual allegedly responsible for Rome’s murder. Rome was reported missing in 1984 by his family, and his remains were identified in 2021 after being discovered in a water well in Sabine Parish.

Tito allegedly informed investigators that Sibley killed Rome and disposed of his remains. Tito has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to Rome’s death, and the police are urging anyone with information on the case to come forward.
