I still see Christmas lights up all over Shreveport and Bossier… You better take them down! It’s time! Seriously. If you don’t take them down today, you could end up with a very unlucky 2023. Today is 12th night it’s the 12th day of Christmas. The 12th night is when we celebrate the arrival of the three Wiseman bringing gifts to baby Jesus! And it turns out this is the day you’re supposed to take down your Christmas decorations and if you don’t, it’s going to be very unlucky for you.
But, if Christmas lights make you happy, and you feel like keeping him up… Don’t do it! Take them down, so you have a very lucky new year, and then put up your Mardi Gras decorations! 12th night also ushers in king cake season! So take down the red and green lights and put up the green, purple and gold lights! And go get a king cake…
