We’ve seen plenty of duos or groups make a BIG deal about breaking up or retiring . . . and before you know it they’re back together. So props to FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE for saving us the trouble. This came up in an interview with “People“.
TYLER HUBBARD said, quote, “We’re using these last [tour dates] as a time to celebrate FGL, and the fans, and then support each other on the next chapter of our journey, which is gonna be individually for a while.”
BRIAN KELLEY was a little more specific: Quote, “We’re not going our separate ways. We’re taking a break. We’re being artists. We love creating. A couple years back, we started writing without each other, and now we’re both doing that with our music.”
Yes, they’ve had their differences, but they’ll be partners to the end, according to Brian. Quote, “We’ve built something that’s way bigger than us . . . and it’ll always be.”
Tyler added, quote, “I picture being 85, sitting on a porch together, telling stories to our kids. I’m excited for him, and vice versa. What we’ve built together allows us to have the foundation to do different things and to be able to create whatever we want to do. But that brotherhood . . . that’ll always be there.”
