This is beyond good sportsmanship. A triathlete named Diego Méntriga stopped inches in front of the finish line at the Santander Triathlon in Spain last week to let another competitor finish in front of him.
The other competitor was a guy named James Teagle, and he accidentally took a wrong turn near the end of the race, which slowed him down. Diego said, quote, “He was in front of me the whole time. He deserved it.” Teagle ended up in third place.
