I have to choose one of three ways for my daughter to go back to school…

So my daughter goes back to school this month… We live in the Bossier school district, and that means we have three options to send our daughter back to school… Now, what should I pick? How do I decide?

“As the start of the 2020-2021 school year approaches, families have three options for how students will be learning this year.

Benton Middle School Learning Options for 2020-2021

  • Face-to-Face Instruction –

    • Phase II – A/B Hybrid Alternating Day (in class face-to-face instruction Day 1 followed by virtual at-home instruction Day 2)

    • Phase III – Daily in class face-to-face instruction for all students.  Approved and outlined by BPSB in #bossierstongstart2020

 

  • Site-based Virtual Learning Programs (Virtual Strong Start 2020) –

    • Provides Bossier Parish students an opportunity to learn virtually from home

    • Students will address the same curriculum as students at school and will be taught by a BMS teacher

    • Students will be required to complete daily lessons and submit assignments and assessments electronically

  • Middle School Virtual Learning Academy –

    • Provides Bossier Parish students an opportunity to learn virtually from home through non-traditional means

    • Offers students the option to learn in a self-paced environment with customized education to support student goals.

    • Admittance into this program requires counselor referral and principal approval
