If You’re Just Not a Morning Person, Science Says You May Never Be

People have asked me, “Why did they take you off mornings?”  So let me respond… “They” didn’t, I did!  When I came back to KRMD to be on the Morning Show, I loved it… but, after almost 3 years, it began affecting my body’s natural rhythms…  I have always been a “night owl.”  I have been active in theatre for 40 years, rehearsing until late evenings… and when I had to be at work at 8:30 or 9A, this wasn’t a problem.  But having to set the alarm at 3:45 or 4A… began to take a toll.  It also meant going to bed around 8:30 or 9P.  And THAT drove me crazy more than getting up early!  Now theatre isn’t the only reason, but it illustrates my point. Fortunately, thanks to the great folks in management, both at corporate & local management, I was able to move to the afternoon shift, and I LOVE it!!  I’m forever grateful for the opportunity.  And I recently came across this article that explains a lot of the science behind why some people are natural ‘morning people’, and some of us aren’t!  Read more about that HERE
