Lafayette is opening Drew Brees’ brand new Surge Entertainment Center this weekend. It’s a 43,000-square-foot play-land that contains a trampoline park, arcade, bowling alley, batting cages, and even a restaurant. That will happen on the 23rd of this month (Saturday).
Even better news for the Arklatex is that a similar project in Monroe, Lake Charles, and Shreveport might be on the way, too. There are no actual plans at the moment, but the fact that Drew is in interested in doing so would be wonderful and even better if and when it happens. Here’s hoping it will be soon, and it might be worth a road trip to Lafayette to see the brand new entertainment complex and see what might be here in the future.
