New and improved vehicle inspection stickers will soon be available at inspection stations across the state.
The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles said they should have them available by January of 2020.
Over the summer, OMV workers dealt with several reports of inspection stickers that wouldn’t stay stuck. Their advice was to get a new sticker or use clear tape. I personally think they should use the stuff that keeps the pic of Gordon McKernan stuck to the billboard, but that’s none of my business.
OMV Customer Service Administrator Kelly Simmons told station KALB that they are trying to distribute the new stickers as soon as possible. He says the specifications of the inspection stickers have been modified, and “hopefully we won’t be dealing with this soon. No later than the first of the year, we should have new stickers available.” So now the only thing that will melt in the car during a Louisiana summer is you.
