Free Flu Shots for Caddo Kids

In 2018, 40 million people came down with influenza.  40-50,000 of those people died.  Last flu season, 3 Caddo schools were forced to close because of the epidemic.  This year, as last, the Caddo school system is offering free flu shots to children who attend parish schools.  You can avoid the flu by washing you hands often and keeping your hands away from your face.  Keeping your immune system strong by exercising and getting enough sleep can also help.  If you experience symptoms of the flu, you should stay home.  Also, don’t send children to school when they are sick.  The flu will spread very quickly from person to person because it is airborne.
