HERE'S WHAT YOU MISSED!

Tuesday Morning Mailbag: Kevin of Bossier writes, “My wife and I have a seven-year-old son, and two slightly older daughters. Both of our girls take dance, and are part of a summer 'dance camp', which starts next month. Our son has seen the girls dance, and he asked my wife if he could take a class. So she signed him up for BALLET. If it were up to me, I'd have my son take a summer baseball camp. Won’t he get made fun of by other kids for taking dance? Is dance and ballet a girl thing?”

WATER COOLER ROUND UP

  • How much would you pay to go on a date with 91-year-old BETTY WHITE?  Because this is your chance:  A "date with Betty" is being auctioned off on eBay, with the proceeds going to charity.  As of last night, the current bid was $5,100.

  • A new survey has found the average mother feels stressed at least FIVE times a day.  The most stressful time of day is 11:56 A.M., followed by 8:01 A.M.  And the most stressful situation is going to the grocery store with kids.

  • Oreos just unveiled a new flavor for the summer . . . WATERMELON OREOS.  They're vanilla Oreo cookies with watermelon-flavored cream in the middle.  And believe it or not, the early reviews are positive, and say they taste like watermelon ice cream.  But you can only buy them at Target.

  • On Friday, a new Applebee's in Coney Island, New York was preparing to open, when they decided to put a SHARK into their 5,000-gallon aquarium.  And he immediately went on a KILLING SPREE.  He ate three fish and was taken out of the tank.  The owner of the Applebee's says the shark wasn't quite ready to go from the ocean to an aquarium.

  • The Good News:   Jayden Sink is a five-year-old girl from Kansas City.  And she raised $400 last Friday at her lemonade stand.  She's selling it for a suggested donation of one dollar . . . and the sign she made advertising her stand says that it's, quote, "Lemonade for Peace".  But her location might have something to do with her success . . . she set up her stand across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church.  They're the morons who hold ridiculous anti-gay protests at funerals for soldiers killed overseas, the children killed in Connecticut, you name it.  And Jayden has also raised more than $1,000 online.
